The JA-New York has three different events, the summer show, delivery, and then the winter show. jewelry designers come from around the world to show off their designs. Going to this show you will get to see what the hottest and newest trends will be for jewelry. With this show there are also many seminars. There was a trend seminar where it was said that necklaces will be the most popular piece of jewelry. The style of these popular necklaces will be v-line/bib style. Here is an example of JR Dunn’s own designer Robert Pelliccia’s necklace. Bold jewelry will be in, also with the big cocktail rings, also for those fashionistas all metal rings. For earrings hops are in but will have gemstones or even charms.

Many designers were at the show this past weekend that are sold at JR Dunn. Some of these designers are Color Story, Favero, Gregg Ruth, Marco Bicego, Leslie Greene, Slane & Slane, Temple St. Clair, and Yvel. So keep up with the website to see the new jewelry and trends!!!

Mayor Gavin Newsom Gives a Ring Not a Key…

Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Fransico got married to actress and producer Jennifer Siebel. The wedding took place at the bride’s parents ranch in Stevensville, Montana. Jennifer looked beautiful in her Vera Wang wedding gown. Everyone knows that the bride must be wearing something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Something new can be covered by purchasing some new jewelry for the big day. Usually the jewelry that brides can wear on her special day is necklace, earrings, and bracelet. Stone Pick of the Day… Turquoise

I love turquoise. The blue-to-green mineral is rare and valuable in finer grades. The blue-green goes great with a bright coloured shirt whether it be a ring, necklace, bracelet, or earrings. This gorgeous mineral of course will make beautiful fun jewelry, like this John Hardy necklace. Turquoise jewelry goes great with mostly any colour of clothing that you are wearing. Going to Italy for vacation? Why not go in style with a true Italian jewelry designer. Roberto Coin has many beautiful shiny jewelry that will help you be seen in Roma, Turin, Firenze, or in the top fashion capitol of the world Milano. Pearls on you, big screen, and on stage

Pearls. They are a beautiful gift from the ocean. Pearls are a status symbol, and also a fashion statement. A pearl necklace shows wealth and social status. Every woman would love to receive or purchase a pearl necklace, I know I would!!! Pearl necklaces are worn to accentuate the neckline, or to accessorize your clothing/complete a look. They come in many different lengths and each necklace serves for a different outfit.

JR Dunn carries one of the best pearl brands in the world Mikimoto. Mikimoto has the signature item that was used in the movie “Sex and the City” by Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Carrie Bradshaw. In the movie Carrie wears her pearls everywhere… even to bed! These pearls are gorgeous and put a classy/funky look to any outfit. Long pearl necklaces have always been a personal favorite of mine, so when I saw it in the movie I was really excited to see that Carrie would be starting a fashion trend.

My favorite thing to do with pearl necklaces is to layer them. Britney Spears copied an outfit that Madonna wore at their performance at the 2003 MTV movie awards.
